Diveteam Robin Hood Divisionals

Dear all, 

??? Everyone did a great job at the big, long, dual meet at East Gate. There were 28 girls in 8 and Under alone because the other two teams were so large. Many thanks to all the parents and kids who stuck it out and who volunteered at the meet.

??? The Robin Hood Invitational is this Friday, the 20th (at 3 pm.).? Divisionals is on Sunday, the 22nd (beginning at 8 am). 

??? The top two divers in each age/sex category, as determined by the coaches (on the basis of scores and places in dual meets), go to Divisionals. 

?? All other divers are entitled to go to the Robin Hood Invitational. Coaches: please inform us ASAP of which kids have been selected for divisionals and which kids you believe will go to Robin Hood. 

??? Robin Hood is in Silver Spring.

?? As for Divisionals, it will be held at Mohican pool, very close to us, on Macarthur Blvd at 8 am. Coaches can take divers there on Saturday (time to be determined in the next day or two) to practice and get familiar with the boards. 

?? In other diving news, the USA Diving East Nationals and West Nationals took place this weekend. The Montgomery Aquatic Center hosted East Nationals. Montgomery Dive Club came in 2nd in points behind 1st place Orlando, FLA but beating all other teams from Indiana east, including the highly competitive Woodland, Texas team, which has a national training center. Montgomery County divers won events on all boards and many other qualified to compete at the National (best of the East and the West combined) meet in Mission Viejo, CA in August. Palisades diver Olivia Grinker qualified on Platform and will dive in Cal. on August 7.
